Situated on the river Yare in Norfolk and on the Wherry Lines between Norwich, Great Yarmouth (via Berney Arms) and Lowestoft, Cantley is a small village with no shop or post office, but a thriving and friendly community and a nice pub as well. The Reedcutters sits comfortably on the bank of the river Yare about 100 yards from the station and is very popular with boats plying the Norfolk Broads and rivers. Near to the station is the historic St Margarets Church – a beautiful rural church in a splendid countryside setting and is well worth a visit.

Cantley station is cared for by the Friends of Cantley station Users or FOCUS as like to be called, who are all village residents. These volunteers care for and up keep the station gardens and ensure a welcoming and pleasant environment for users of the local rail services. For details of trains times to and from Cantley, please see our train times pages. For details of local train fares, please click here.

There are some pleasant walks from the station and lot of local produce can be found on sale in and around the village. You will also be made most welcome at the Reedcutters pub just a 5 minute walk from the station.
